The temple holds a deep historical legacy. During the renovation of the temple’s Kodimaram (temple flag mast) a few years ago, an ancient coin from the 14th century was discovered at the site. This discovery suggests that the temple is believed to be over 700 years old, highlighting its long-standing spiritual and cultural importance in the region.

For centuries, the temple has been a center of devotion where devotees gather to seek the blessings of Lord Mahaganapathi, the remover of obstacles and the giver of prosperity and wisdom.
